        "宝暦6（1756）年の記録を最古に、雨を授かったことを神に感謝する踊りとして伝承されている。ひょっとこ面の「ささら摺り」を先頭に、総指揮者である「新発意（しんぽち）」を中心とする50人が神社へ行進し、境内に着くと円陣を組んで踊る。踊り子は花笠をかぶり浴衣に胸当て、手甲、脚絆の揃いの衣装で腰に下げた締太鼓を叩きながら優美に踊る。記録作成を講ずべき無形の民俗文化財に選択（昭和48年11月5日）、鳥取県の無形民俗文化財に指定（昭和34年12月25日）されている。"
